There was a prior accident where the same type that caused the destruction of several vehicles. City officials from La Canada had requested the ban of trucks - but those request were ignored by CALTRANS officials. It is only now after this horrible accident that the ban will go into effect. CALTRANS would be responsible in some part for the damages incurred by those who lost there loved ones and suffered injuries.
