Wet freeways in Los Angeles Cause lots of accidents
I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween.
However, the rains hit Southern California in force over the weekend, causing slippery road conditions on our freeways, streets and highways. Malibu got 0.12 of an inch of rain; Chatsworth, 0.22; and Newhall, 0.48. Nearly an inch fell in Oxnard while Fillmore got 1.14 inches
On Saturday the Los Angeles Times reported that a man was killed while walking along the shoulder of the 405 freeway in West Los Angles. The details were not provided as to what happened, but this reminds me of my earlier post about the dangers of becoming disabled on the Freeway. Make sure you protect yourself.
In related story the Times reported that early Saturday morning a 15 year old boy from North Hollywood was killed when the vehicle he was in rolled over. The driver of his vehicle fled the scene. While this incident shows the cowardness of the driver to leave the seen of a dying boy, the family certainly can seek recovery through their uninsured motorist coverage.

Please drive responsibly. Be careful and safe and slow down.
